Holidays:  Pro rata to 40 days (8 weeks) per year inclusive of public holidays. 7 weeks are fixed and 1 week is flexible. 


Life Cover: Non-contributory death-in-service benefits equivalent to 3 times salary. Eligibility after 12 months of continuous service. 

Pension: Automatic enrolment when criteria met (Workplace pensions: Joining a workplace pension - GOV.UK) in the Garvald Edinburgh Pension Scheme. If the criteria are not met staff can still ‘opt in’ to join the pension scheme. Employer contributions are 7.2% and employee contributions 2.8%. 

Carer’s leave: Up to one week's paid carer’s leave within a rolling twelve-month period.  

Training:Garvald Edinburgh has a comprehensive induction and training programme for all staff with ongoing opportunities to build on existing skills as well as learn new ones. 

EAP: Staff have access to an Employee Assistance Programme offering confidential support and advice. 

Team working: Consistency and continuity of working in supportive and creative teams with regular and consistent shift patterns delivering a day service (Monday to Friday).
